Default alright guys, i need help.!

I have a 95 sport 4.0, it is pretty much stock.
After about the 1st month i had it, i started developing some kind if issue. At idle, simetimes it will act like its missfiring, almost cutting off, then it will jump back up ti its regular idle, it does this when driving too, all of the sudden it dies out, and wont take the gas and then it will kick back in and act like everything is okay, it dies this multiple times while driving and idling. I have ran seafoam and other cleaners through multiple times, cleaned the throttle boddy, iac valve cleaned. Ive cleaned all of the ground connections et,
If this makes any sence this started happening around the time my neutral safety switch started acting up, i dont know if theres any connection here. But i do have a code for an o2 sensor, but the catalytic converter has been taken out and replaced by a peice if straight pipe so im guessing thats why there is a code for o2sensor?
This jeep is my daily driver. I need some help.

Did you check the o2 sensor by the manifold? Also might be the tps.

What is the status of tuneup hardware? Fresh plugs, plug wires, distributor cap, rotor, fuel filter.

Neutral safety switch would have absolutely nothing to do with this. But the exhaust mods could.

I'm not a big fan of cat delete and removing oxygen sensors; they are pretty darn important to proper engine management. You don't gain much if anything by removing them. Except for confusing your engine and leaving you with a permanent check engine light. I'd go back to OEM on that.

Might check the TPS for proper operation too.

It was this way when i bought it, but honestly, never had a problem with open exhsust, hell on my 97 i ran strait header for over a year until i got tired of the noise and welded a muffler on it, but i understand what you mean. As far as updates on maintanance goes, new plugs wires rotor cap and button, just changed the oil yesterday to be exact, all others last weekend. Didnt change fuel filter though, im going to just replace the o2 sensor and see if thats tthe culprit.
