Hey guys, im sorry its been my third question, but im jus not getting the problem fixed.
My jeep only turns and cranks sometimes, But recently it stopped.
Changed the battery cables and terminals. it cranked and started on, wooh, but then it did it again so its not that.
Took off the starter tested it, works also selenoid does too.
Changed the ignition switch, It was not that either.

But something peculiar happened when i changed the ign switch.
When i dropped the steering column, i turned the key for the hell of it and it started.
Had it fixed but when i bolted the column back up it didnt crank, jus hear the fuel pump humm once again.

I checked and checked and no cables disconnected. Is there anything else i can check to rule out some things, im about to give up and not work on it till after christmas, But i really wanna play in the dirt.

i think we were workin on this problem awhile back. just a thought. maybe try droppin the column back down and see if it does it again. i think you may be pulling on a wire when its down making it work. a bad connection can be a real pita to find.

If it cranks only sometimes, it sounds like it could be a neutral safety switch. Maybe the column was just a coincidence. That's what I would try.

being a manual, if its working properly you would have to push on the clutch to start it, right?

lol did that many times in my 89 yota. did you get the alternator checked out?
Im gonna give you the advice that my dad gave me when i started working on the old yota. Theres only 3 things it can be, electricity, gas, or air. Not sure if this helps but, it has me in lots of occasions. Anyways, i think that possibly something may be draining the power from your battery.

U mean when i crank? well not exactly, mine starts on neutral without the clutch, if its in gear it would jus jump, lol happens sometimes.

Omg bro it gets annoying especially when u gotta push up hill. lol
Cant be the alternator since it wont start, it held a charge before this so im not concerned.
And i dont have a battery issue cuz it still has power, plus i got a yellow top

we were working on his problem some time back, i think he has a loose wire or a bad connection somewhere. sometimes it would work and other times it doesnt. doesnt act like a bad battery, ya know?

jumping u mean by cables? no point cuz my battery has power, when i turn the key the guages turn on and i have 13 volts on my yellow top, so its not the battery, plus i can hear my fuel pump humm.
