All warning light come on & gauges go to 0

All warning light come on & gauges go to 0
2000 Grand Cherokee Limited w/63K miles. After starting (just sometimes) the dashboard key light (a key icon in a circle with a line through it) comes on. After awhile (sometimes) all, and I mean all of the warning lights come on and the gauges all go to 0. Usually happens in the morning and not after the car has been driven a couple of times. The car runs fine, but all of the gauges dropping to 0 and the lights are disconcerting. What's wrong and can it be fixed??
