Hey everyone, I would like to say that this is not my car, so i do not know much about it. My girlfriend bought a fully loaded 2000 Grand Cherokee that has around 65k miles on it, but we quickly found out that it gets the worst gas mileage, being around 10-11 mpg in the city... no check engine lights are on.

its an inline 6 4.0L

now i dont know much about jeeps but i own a lightly modded v8 mustang that has Has Clogged Cats and im still getting around 12 mpg which is still better then her's.

does anyone know where to start with this. i looked at the air filter, it looked clean and looks like it had a new oil change because of the clean oil filter (then again the whole engine was detailed so idk) i think she should change out the oil and the spark plugs.

any other thought?

 

im not sure, but i might be in the wrong forum eh? is this like pre 2000 jeeps maybe?
