Aircon - what is normal?
Hi,
it's pretty hot right now* and although the aircon is OK, it's only OK. I can hear the compressor cycling on every 10 seconds or so for 5 seconds ish and then it cuts out. This goes on for as long as I have the engine and aircon switched on.
Should the aircon run constantly? I'm thinking of going to get a re-gas in case the system has low pressure but if you guys think there's something else to try first, I'm all ears.
thanks!
*OK.. not HOT by USA standards but damn hot for England and we don't do well in the heat. 83 degrees (today) is hot enough for me to start dreaming of Pith Helmets and wondering if I should go and invade some god forsaken bit of desert. Maybe give it to Her Majesty as a birthday present.
Bring me Drizzle. And Fog. OH yeah.....

Must be nice to only be 83° out! Its 83° out here at midnight and 100° + in the day.
Do you have a way to check what temp the air is coming out the vents? If I remember right, if it is 83° outside, that should put the vent temp around 45-50°.

OK thanks. It sounds like a trip to the AC charging people is the sensible course. The pith helmet will have to go on hold
