Driving home tonight in my newly purchased 98 Cherokee Sport and noticed the airbag light came on and my gauges weren't working. Even the trip counter. Jeep still ran fine and without fan fare all returned to normal. Then without warning it happen again and then fixed itself.

Jeep restarted ok at home but I see electrical issues coming. Any ideas?

 

Next time it goes out, give your instrument panel a firm shove back into the dash. See what happens. The connectors work their way loose and you get this intermittent stuff.

 

Thanks, I did some research and it seems like a common problem. Will do the connector upgrade soon.
