air intake

does anyone know if a cold air intake from a 99-02 nissian xterra would fit my 99 jeep cherokee sport 4.0L?

Take a pic of the CA intake you have. Measure the outlet and I'll let ya know.

It should. Just get a pipe and a filter like ^. I did it too. It's sweet.

there is no lid. i even took out the bottom part of the air box.

VERY GOOD IDEA!!! i kno from experience i was doin like 5 thru a puddle that ended up only being to the bottom of the rockers and hydro locked right in the middle of it, since then my jeep has been a POS

No offense meant, but that's not going to be any colder of an intake than your stock. If anything, it's actually going to be sucking in hotter air with the top of the box off and make you lose performance.

yea im gunna hack up a stock airbox coverf and put it on to reduce the hot air or buid a whole new box with a heatshiel that seal at the top of the hood with weather stripping

nice! thats exactly what I did, utalize the stock carb attachment, add a 3" pipe and k&n and I fabed it to fit inside my stock airbox air tight!
