Well my horn took a big ol dump on me and while I'm sure there's any number of reasons and solutions, I'm going to see this as the opportunity to install an air horn. Does anyone have any good recommendations?

Cool,,make your own. Ive been looking into making some PVC-pipe train horns since I have the small air tank for the horns already. There are a few vids on the tube on how.

I'll vouch for this kit, I got it in my jeep. Really loud, and easy to install.

Yep the kit comes with everything needed. I ran the horns inline with my OEM horns so when I push the wheel like normal they honk. install was simple.

The size air tank he is using is just on of those small 10gal ones for tires or around the shop.. it don't take much air to make them honk lound, its just you don't have a lot of air for long long blasts.

I'm thinking about wiring mine to my steering wheel. How bad was that?

Simple just run the hot wire from the solenoid on the air horns to the hot wire on the OEM horns. That way when you honk the OEM it will give power to the air horn solenoid allowing them to honk.

where did you tap in at? Like all the way where the horn is or closer to the relay?

Just trace the wire back from the OEM horn until you find a spot that you like to splice in at. Heck you can just splice in right where the OEM hot wire is on the horn. The OEM horn is ground by the bracket. The one wire coming off of it is the one 12v hot.

did you remove your horns or leave them? And if you removed what did you do with the hot wire for each?
