What do you mean it turns off? does the compressor stop working, does it just stop blowing, does it just stop cooling, does it stop blowing at the vents ans switch to the defroster vent? A little more info on how it is acting would be great so we can get you cooling again.

I take it you had your foot on the brake pedal when you went from Park to Drive.

Does the AC work when in Drive and you take your foot off the brake pedal? Like when driving down the road.

Thanks Robert for responding . No wasn't the girl friend hah!

When I start the ignition with ac on the ac fires right up , but when I switch to drive from park to drive and start moving the AC turns off .

When I start the ignition with AC on it blows cold and is working . But as soon as I go from park to drive and start moving the AC shuts off and does not blow at all. Then when I stop turn off the jeep and restart the AC will start blowing again until I switch back to drive from park , shuts off completely .
I have tried starting without AC turned on and start driving And kick it on still won't work until I turn jeep off , have in park and will turn on ...

Weird.......... Update daughter just walked in asked her if it was still doing this and she said No everything is working correctly .

You know I disconnected the battery at the same time I did water pump to clean the terminals . Do you think this clitch was a drive cycle issue ??
