Air conditioning doesn't work
i had a bad one in my 87 i just disconnected it and dealt with it. i havent checked my 95 bud i really can deal with some coolness over spending extra on gas mileage with AC.

I bought a 93 sport not too long ago. The AC blew but not cold. I live in Arizona so AC is hard to go with out here. I took the jeep to an AC specialist hoping it just needed a charge, NO DICE!! Has a sheared clutch on the compressor. I just spent 500 on a new compressor, condenser, accumulator/dryer, expansion valve, and heater control valve. And that's just the parts, I'm going to do the labor myself then take it back to the shop to have it flushed and charged. Yeah what a BUZZKILL!

I have the same problem i just decided to do without a/c. only because its expensive.
your going to need to buy a retrofit kit if your jeep is pre 93 i think. that's when they changed from r12 to r-134a.
if your planning on changing the compressor or the hoses your going to need a vacuum to get the air out of the hoses before u can add any refrigerant. since oxygen wont condense it will but a huge sagg on the refrigerant cycle it will still get cold but not as cold as it can get and eventually ruin your compressor.
the stop leak they sell at auto zone DOES work but its kinda risky. i seen people use that and seal up the txv, or seal the entire line.

yeah AC can be an expensive amenity. The guy at the parts store said the new parts are already upgraded for the new refrigerant. After I put them on I'm going to have it vacuumed and pressure tested at a shop. One thing you could do DONTBLINK182 is have an AC check done somewhere. It's usually under $30 or free at some places.

I just used some quest super sealer and recharged my system. it blew cold while i still had the engine running after recharging it but i shut it off and drove it 15 minutes later and it blew just as hot as it did before the recharging. Could the super sealer have screwed something up? Shouldnt the freon last at least a little while in the system even with a leak? Or what other peoblems could i have?
