Default Age old lift debate

Before everyone yells at me for a duplicate post, Ive tried a search and haven't found the answer im looking for. Im debating between RE and RC for a 3.5 lift. I dont mind paying for quality, but hate paying for a name. Is the RE quality worth the price increase?

i got the RC 4.5 kit. I went with RC cause I've heard nothing but good about the lift and you really can't beat the price. Just my .02

I went with RE and even though I have yet to install it, I am already happy with the quality of parts I have recieved. Add on to all the good reports I have seen of RE kits, and I am without a doubt happy I spent the extra money.

From what I have read on a number of forums. RE is a great brand and if you have the money then buy it. Rough country is a nice affordable starter!

Yep age old debate and you won't ever get a solid answer one way or another other then opinion. Those who like RE will say RE is better, those who like RC will say RC is better. Me I run RE and chose is because it was complete and suited what I wanted and it is quality. Does RC make good lifts sure but can I say RE is better no why because I have never ran an RC lift. IMHO the key is not the coils and leaf packs but the shocks.

Something else might want to get tossed in here. Both RE and RC use the same coil maker now. I think all but 3 lift company's use the same coil and leaf maker now a days..

Also you'll find that the RE 3.5" lift will be closer to 4.5" tall. Most all RE lifts stand about 1" taller than they are rated. And I've been told they do that cause of people adding bumpers and such..

I've installed and used RC kits, nice kit for the money. I personally now use RE 4.5 kit. Actual lift is around 5.5. Better quality as the kit is more complete (IE brake lines, track bar, HD option on track bar ans brkt., better bushings on super flex kit, discos that still work a year later *just personal problemLOL*better shocks, which are still not great ect.) Its not just paying for a name. If that were the case I dont think they would still be around. If your building on a budget currently than go with an RC kit and build on it from there they do have quality springs. RC can keep ther pricing down because they are bare bones kits.
You will add to the RC kit later and it may or may not be the same in the end, price wise.
