Hello, I had a running and driving XJ and it had the dreaded cracked head, so I put a TUPY head on slapped it all back together and I have a no start issue, I just put on a new CPS and TPS sensor because the TPS tested bad and the CPS was old and the keep had a previous issue of stalling at stop lights. I go to start it and it acts like it wants to start however it won’t. I have checked all of my engine and chasis grounds and they are ok, the above sensors changed, i did put new plug in it and it did start before I changed out the TPS however if I wasn’t giving it any throttle it would die. Any ideas?

 

If you pulled the distributor, is it timed correctly?
