Default Adventures in wiring - seatbelt warning light issue

OK guys, so my auto wiring skills are weak at best, so that said:

I have a weird issue with my 95 SE. The seatbelt warning buzzer goes off despite the belt being attached. Shortly after this started, the gauge lights blew. Once this happened, the seatbelt thing didn't happen.
After a bit of research, I found the 19 fuse was suspect on the lights and sure enough, was blown. I replaced it, lights and belt thing came back.

I figured the seat belt thing might have been a disconnected wire under the seat or at the clip - didn't see any wiring to the seat and the clip wiring is pretty solidly sheathed.

So it's pretty clear these are related and while the fuse hasn't reblown - I expect it will soon.

I'll be digging into the wiring diagrams and all that to see how this stuff is connected and all that tomorrow, but figured I'd throw it out here in case anyone else had a similar problem and had advice on where to start looking.

So yeah, any advice is welcome. TIA guys!!

There's a wire off the seat belt buckle. Can you travel that and find a connector? It might go backwards towards the rear seat, rather than under the drivers seat.

Does the buzzer go off when the wire is disconnected?

In my jeep the wire went from the seat belt clip down to the mount between your seat and the center console. the wire then traveled through the center console.

Yeah, it looks like I'll have to pull the console to get at the connector.

Do you guys think that it's likely there? Pulling the console is a bit of work, but would make sense. I lost a little spring and figured I bopped the wires when I was digging under the seats... after no luck under the seats I looked at the e-brake recess and it was deep in the e-brake recess (not sure, thought I saw the end of it), so I was fiddling with that (partially removing console trim, but ran into a screw I'd want to cut to proceed), so that's also highly possible.

Edit - Also, if it's helpful, the light comes on strong when it's expected to... and when connected (or, shouldn't come on), it's definitely weaker looking.
