Adjustable Track Bar/ Alignment Question?
Here's the deal. I just got my new tires put on my new lift today, and I remeasured both sides to see if the body was centered over the axle. I did it a few weeks ago when first putting on my lift, and thought I had centered the body over the axle with my stock tires on. Now that the new tires are wider, I figured it would be easier to see if the body was centered. It looks like the tires still stick out about a 1/2 inch more on the drivers's side. That means I would have to undo my trackbar, and readjust the body over 1/4 inch towards the passenger side. I can do it, it's just kind of a pain. Here are my two questions:
1. will moving the body towards the passenger side 1/4" really make that much difference? Do you really think it is necessary or am I close enough?
2. I am getting it aligned on Monday, so should I do it before my alignment or should I wait till afterwards to adjust it ( if necessary ) to see if the alignment has any affect on it?
Sorry for the long message and thanks for any info.

I'm in the same boat... i go for an alignment tomorrow and I won't have time to move mine over.. and from what I have read, to move it over only 1/2" you will need to first weld the hole and then redrill.. you wouldn't need to fill the hole if you were moving it 3/4"

I actually bought a JKS adjustable track bar. So all I need to do is unbolt it from the axle mount, center the body over the axle, adjust the axle end with and then rebolt it to the axle. It's just kind of a pain to do. So if moving the frame over a 1/4" towards the passengers side isn't really necessary, I won't do it.

I would do it if I had an adjustable track bar.. with 29" tires (moving to 31" soon), my driver side sticks out an inch more than the pass side.. probably doesn't matter but it bugs me.
