Default Adding Temp and Oil pressure gauges

My 95XJ just has lights, no real gauges. Anyone have any links to adding

temp and oil pressure gauges? I would like to leave the existing cluster.

I did search but the info is fragmented and not very specific.

Thanks.

You can't leave the existing cluster, with mo gauges, and end up with gauges unless you go after-market. (Gauges you attach somewhere). On my 90 it's possible to change the oil and temp senders to gauge type, and swap the cluster. Soppose one might "T" off for oil pressure, and install a temp sender somewhere and keep the light's stock and still have gauges attached somewhere. Actually wouldn't be so bad! You still get the red light which most of us need, but can still read a gauge, for fun!

Thats what I would like to do, Add a aftermarket temp and oil gauge.
I just dont konw the best places for the senders.
A tee at the thermostat housing? I have read there is another sensor by the firewall as for the oil pressure can I place a tee where the stock sender is by the oil filter?

Thanks.

Here's an option for a digital temp gauge.....the 19MM sending unit would easily mount/splice into the heater hose at the t-stat housing.

Thats pretty cool. I was checking out auto meter site and they have a similar setup.

Where would I place the oil pressure sender, At the stock sender location with a tee, Both the stock sender and the aftermarket sender off the tee?

I only have dummy lights for the oil pressure and temperature thats why I want to add aftermarket ones.

A "T" for pressure should be fine.....but not for temp sending unit.

The AutoMeter digital temp gauge will require a little thinking as to where the sending unit will be located (where will it screw in?) Looks like the AutoMeter temp gauge costs 2 1/2 times as much as the Trail Tech.

Yea, thats what I meant. Would the Tee go in place of the dummy light sender?
