So I have a '94 with a 3" lift now, and I'm currently doing the 2wd to 4wd conversion to it. I was wondering, if I got 1" spacers, and 1" shackles would that really mess up my drive line, to the point of spending a ton of cash, to get LCA and SYE?
Or can it be done with little ill effect on the drive line? That would give me a total of 4"....
This is my DD also, so keep that in mind.
Thanks,
J

If your 3in came with new arms you shouldn't need to do anything and mid 90s cherokee seem to do fine with driveshat vibe there are guys with 6in lifts with no SYE I've got 4-1/2 in no vibes at all, and you trackbar one trick is to measure over from the original lower hole a 1/4 in for every inch you go up i.e 1 inch over for 4in of lift then drill a new hole and bolt up the track bar you'll have to adjust your steering wheel because it will turn it 90deg I did this to mine and it tracks perfect. Don't let people talk you into buying stuff you don't need especially when there ****s stock and you get the (well i've heard answers)
Grab some LCA's (look around online you can get good used ones for cheap)
I would get a trackbar but its not needed you can relocate your stock one its just kinda half *** i think. But to each his own.
Dont worry about an SYE you can drop the T case if need be.

your wanting to do the samething i am wanting to do but with a 3" lift for me. with the 1" amount rubber spacers for the front. and for the back i have helper springs and i get an excellent ride. you should try of what you r planning on doing. you may not need the SYE with the 4" lift. all you would really need for the thing your doing is new shocks, a thing of rubber for spacers..., helper springs, and some shackles(what ever size you need). then that should help give you a good lift with out the SYE
its worth a shot to do...

Again for a trail vehicle whatever but if its a DD ya know. And dont give me **** about a budget i aint some rich as high school kid i work hard for money and spend it where i think its needed. Bottom line do what you want its your jeep...
