I've got a 97 XJ and recently put a Rough Country 3" AAL in my leaf pack. I really want another inch and a half back there, but don't have much coin. I'd rather throw on another leaf than put on longer shackles because leafs are easier to install.

So I have 2 questions:

1. How many s10 or dakota leafs would I have to add to get another 1.5" out of my stock pack with a 3" RC AAL already in it?

and

2. Would the ride be much too stiff, or would it have any effect? It is already pretty stiff with the RC AAL on there.

Through the AAL away and replace all except for the XJ main wil the S-10 leafs. Keeping the AAL will be too stiff to get any flex. Or add an extended shackle to what you have.

 

I kept my Main leaf cut the s-10 main leaf to fit under it kept all the original leafs and the AAL from my 4.5 inch RC lift and one other S-10 leaf. I am pretty sure of this I did it a while ago so do not quote me on it. I have a pretty stiff ride though, Flex is not really an issue though. Speed bumps in a parking lot feel like I my axle is solid mounted to the frame rails.

 

^How much extra lift did you get from the s10 in addition to the 4.5 AAL?
