Default adding cruise control

i would like to add cruise control to my 2000 cherokee. i know that i need a servo, clock spring, and switches. would i be able to use a servo and a clock spring from a zj? also what are the differences between the switches. which would work for my 2000?

I answered your question in junk yard mods if you didn't catch it.

Nope the clockspring is different. I was looking at the same idea when I added my cruise you can use the clockspring from a neon by changing the plugs, but it's frown apon on here as you are messing with airbag system. The switches you need to pay attention too as they don't cross with each other years 97 and 98 are different from 99, 00, 01. Has to do with the resistors . The servo I believe is the same but may have to change the plug.

Which screw? I think one of mine was broke and the back side of my switch was broken but was able to still use it and haven't had any problems so far.

the screws holding them onto the steering wheel. that come through and into the back of the switches.

I think your fine the airbag kinda holds the switches in place. The only thing you can do it test fit and see if anything moves.

If you happen to detonate the airbag while just driving down the road, you won't be a happy camper.
