Default Adding 2 AAL"s per side???

Well my buddy just bought the rough country 3" lift kit with the AAL option and were going to install it this weekend.

I just just got done doing my RC 3" lift last week and i bought the AAL option also but decided to buy rear springs afterwards and install them so i have my extra AAL's laying around.

He was worried after he got the kit of the AAL's sagging over time and i told him we can just use my AAL's and just double them up on both sides.

My questions is he is worried that doing that will give him another 2" of lift in the back and i told him it should maybe allitle bit more lift since there is another spring back there but another 2" of lift ot make 4" total.

So has aybody ever done this it will technically be just like adding another spring on the leaf pack so i see no reason why it shouldnt work just wanting to see if anybody has done this.

And i told him it would probally ride rougher in the back but he does care about ride quality this is his trail rig he has a ZJ for his dd

Yeah i'm not worried about clamping it down we have tons of tools in the shops including hydralic clamps so no issue there and the center pin doesnt hold the force of the springs staying together once the spring plate is on so not worried there will just keep the clamps on until the spring plate is tight with the ubolts before we release the clamps.

I think will give it a try tonight and see how it goes.

UPDATE

Ok so we installed his kit took about 2 hours lol works really well when one person is working on the front the other on the back suspension.

So installed both AAL's per side and measured everthing up when we were done.

he got about 3" in the front of lift and 4" of lift in the back so the extra AAL gave about 1" more of lift.

So buying the longer rear brake line came in use.

Also since the front was 1" lower now we decided to throw a .75" coil spacer up front to even it out since the by the time AAL's sag he will probally have a bigger lift but until then will see how long the lift in the rear holds up.

As for the ride quality his rides better then mine even with the extra AAL i think thats mainly due to the nice rancho shocks he bought instead of using the rough country one's like me.
