Default accessory setting on key ignition

My key ignition keeps turning off my accessories as it won't stay forward far enough without holding it there? How could I set it up to a switch so I could just flip them myself when starting my jeep?

Yes, but.. some switches go forward for accessory and some go back, some are adjusted at the column and some are built into the switch(DrSuess ish).
The switches up 93? can be adjusted because the are on the column and "can" fall out of adjustment. Later ones(I believe) were built into the tumbler and you have to replace the whole thing?

Bad idea......Just replace the tumbler and or switch. For the time it takes to wire around everything you could have changed both of them twice. All total the cost will be about 35$(switch is 16ish and the tumbler is 20ish) and about 1.5-2hrs, vs the 2-5hrs rewiring your ignition.
But try readjusting the ignition switch first.

I go quoted close to $150 for the tumbler. And had to order it in. That was why I was wondering about the switch. Probably could find it online cheaper. Ya must adjust it underneath the plastic part of the steering column im guessing...

Most auto parts carry them both parts for around 20.00.

Not here they dont. But aside from that, I will need a steering wheel puller, and a key lock compressor to even do it on a 94. Getting pricey. So back to my original question. If anyone knows how to do that, that would be awesome.

ya find the accerory wire on ignition switch on coloumn under dash.Cut it add wire install relay and toggle switch should take around 2 hrs . Ignition Switch can be replace less than hour no steering wheel puller required and no cut wire harness .
