Default AC turns off and on

Out of the blue, today the AC just went off....then back on.....then off again and on again then off and stayed off. Pulled into driveway, shut the engine off, restarted and the AC came on.

I had the whole AC system done last summer and it’s worked great and blows cold. What’s odd is when the AC goes off, the radio goes off with it, and comes back on with the AC.

Any ideas where to start? A relay maybe? ‘96 4.0

Yup, common connection for them both. Fan go off too, or just get warm?

I have a manual switch that keeps the electric fan on all the time and the engine temp was below 210 but I did notice the voltage seemed to be on the low side, like maybe the compressor was drawing too much. When the AC shut off, the voltage went up
