Hi all,
I am the latest owner of a 98 Cherokee XJ Sport. The jeep has 109,000 original miles on it and has been in Arizona its entire life. The guy I purchased it from had some work done to the AC system minus a new compressor. Long story short I got the jeep home and charged the AC system as it was a little low on refrigerant. After charging the compressor kicks on when I have the selector on ac in the cab but warm air is all that comes out of the vents. I was wondering if anyone else has seen this issue before or might know how to fix it? Thanks for the help I appreciate it!!

You'll need to do some basic diagnostics before folks can provide any useful advice. Like:
1) Low and high side pressures when compressor is running.
2) temperature of inlet and outlet to evaporator (where lines go through firewall)
The pressures you are looking for are shown in your shop manual.

to me, Red Flags
the previous owner said he had it worked on ...but it was low on freon
One assumes that after it was worked on , if it was, that it worked. Which eliminates some possibilities.
Could be blender door, could be a vacuum leak, could be a control problem but I would, with a new to you vehicle that's loosing freon, start by determining if it's making "cold"
