Hey guys i have a problem with my heat/ac. Whenever i turn it on it runs for fine for like 1 minute and then it makes this werid almost grinding noise, and it will stop making the noise if i turn it off then back on. but will just happen again..now this is very unconiventent sine i live in northern ontario. I have a full parts jeep, but im not sure whats making this noise and how to pull the part.

 

Narrow it down using the controls, but I would expect it is the blower motor. If it is the blower motor it should increase / decrease by turning the blower speed up and down. My 96 makes slight blower motor noises that get worse when it is cold. Not so bad however that I have chosen to replace it yet.

X2 on the blower motor. Mine makes a grinding sound when it first starts also but haven't found time to fix it yet...Tj
