Unhappy AC gone bad

The past couple days I've been hearing what sounded like one of my pullys were going bad. and just last night i was half way home and heard some weird noises coming from the engine bay. I get home and have my old man listen to it and turns out its my AC compressor.I dont use my AC a lot, probably once this summer. so my question to you is, is there a pully i can put in its place to completely get rid of my AC because i dont have the 250 bucks to get a new compressor.

Don't drive it, it will seize and have to be towed.

I didn't see any newer ones but I guess the search could be narrowed down to 98. Mine was making the noise you described and it seized up on me, (the clutch). I had to wait til it was totally cool, then cut the serp belt and try to get to the garage in under 4 to 5 minutes.
