AC Electrical fan runs from time to time even though system is off
Hi !
On my Cherokee 2.5TD -99 the AC system seems to be working as it should looking from inside the car. However, even though the system is turned off and the outer conditions are cold the electrical fan placed in the front will start from time to time. There is not long periods when it is off (30s approx). Now, I took the fuse away to keep it quite and consume no power.
Anyone know what could cause this behaviour ? Is there some kind of sensor that has broken or gets the wrong information ? Any lead would be appreciated.

The fan also comes on when engine/coolant temp rises (i believe around 215 or so) but don't quote me
Also, if i'm not mistaken, your AC compressor may run if you set your controls to defrost, even if it's cool outside. Since the electric fan is wired to run when the AC is ON.. maybe that's why. Just guessing
p.s. I'd put the fuse back in and let it run.. you don't want to chance overheating
