My compressor is shot and I found one on a 90 for 30 dollars that works fine,will it work on my 97?

Probably not. They changed brands and it will not bolt up. Also, you will have to drain the oil out of it if there is any. Just look at it. If it looks different it will not work.

no, 87-90 are interchangeable and 91-92 are interchangeable. during late 92-early 93 most states switched to r-134a refrigerant. r-12 and r-134a use different oils and seals, they are not interchangeable. i know the 93-96 are interchangeable but dont know if the later years use something else.
