just bought my first cherokee. so i was gonna charge ac . i put my gauge on and it says full but the pump wont turn on. i bypassed low pressure switch then changed the relay still nothing. the low pressure switch is gettin 12v when ac switch is on in dash. so i ran pump staright to batt. and it works w cold air. anyone got any ideas whats up w this thing. i will say this the fan relay is gone and its straight wired to a switch on dash. i stuck a relay in it and wired the fan back up but the fan wouldnt come on. i dont know what else to try .

i dont have the diagram for which fuse is which but i did pull every fuse under the dash and there all good . UNFORTUNATELY.

 

does anyone know what makes the pump cycle. im guessing if i left it straight wired it would blow a line right or if it had a high pressure switch would it cut off?

 

well you should have a low pressure and high pressure switch. i would say ome of those is bad especially if you have voltage to it
