Any one know how to get an ABS light to go out? 96 xj country, 4.0, auto. I did a rear end swap from a dana 35 to a 8.25 and I would like my abs light to go away. I clipped the wires because I needed the swap done quick. And has any one tried to smog a vehicle with an ABS light on and did it cause it to not pass?

Pull the fuses and the solenoid in the power dist center under the hood that worked fine for me when I deleted my AbS

 

All I needed to do was pull the bulb in mine. But the OP's OBD2 plus he's in naziland kalifornia - might be harder to get away with that there

 

Just Pull the relay. That also imobilises the pump too. Job done
