im pretty sure thats a Dana44... ive googles pics of them and put them side by side... look just like the 44...

 

well crap... i looked up pics of a 60 and it looks like it too... getting mixed ideas here now...

 

the pumpkin looks a lil to big for a 44. i think its a d60. and yes your correct the scissor front end was junk from the rangers all the way up to the 3/4 tons!!! i like the leaf sprung independent front ends in a work truck!! Brilliant ford!!! haha

hhmm... maybe i wont mess with the 9in then and just get the D60 and stick a locker and gears in it...

 

i didnt know that was from a f250...in that case its not a D44 thats to light of a rear for a F-250

 

it dos look small in that pic more like a 44
but if its a f250 its a 60

 

Yeah its a 250... its rusted and shot out... sittin on the edge of the field with tires all in the back... thats where i found the 9in chunk and theres some other axle but it has no guts in it...

 

maybe ill get them springs around the shocks while im at it... sure i could use on something... i could probly get this axle for like 100 bucks... i already got a enclosed utility bed for a longbed pickup sealed and ready to go for $300... and he let me give him alittle at a time whenever i got it to blow...

 

aaww... just txted his son... he said his dad wants to keep the truck... aggravating cause they told me to come look... but says thats the only one they are keeping cause his brother had rebuilt both axles and then was killed so they got the truck and its just gonna rot away i guess now... go figure... my search must continue i guess...
