I have a 99 4.0 xj with 87000 miles. Yesterday on my way to work I stoped and got gas. When I went to start my jeep to took longer to start and when it did it stayed around 1800 rpm I didn’t think much of it. Later that day when I went to start it again it took even longer to start and held the rpm around 1800 again but this time a check engine light came on. I drove to to my buddies and it was fine. We scanned it and got a p0123 and a p0700 code. We cleared the codes and started it and only the p0700 code came back. As I was driving it home I noticed that if I let off the gas it would up shift and then immediately down shift. On the highway doing about 65-70 mph the jeep was staying at around 3k rpm with cruise set and I never really payed attention to it before so I’m not sure if that was normal. Not sure if it matters or not but I replaced my AC comp last week due to the bearing going out and locking up. When I did I just let the refrigerant leak out and I saw on another thread to clean the connections so I’m going to try that here soon. But do y’all have and input or advice to helping with with this? -Matt
