I have a 99 JGC with 126000 miles. Last nite for the first time since ive had the the jeep, which was bought at 51000 miles, the check engine light came on and a sudden jerk when I was driving at highway speeds. When I finally parked it....I let it idle for a second and then it just died....it restarted but just died again. Anyone with similar happenings?

 

You could start throwing parts at it, but I'd get the code read from AutoZone or somewhere and go from there. If you don't want to pay for a tow have a buddy help you out with a good tow strap if there's a place close by.
