First of all i want to introduce my self im new here. Names Austin, anyways heres my problem the amplifier that came stock in the limiteds is shot. does not work making all my speakers not work. So what i did was run two wires back for 6x9s temporarily till my lift, tires etc was done. Now i am on this project. the previous owner said the speakers were blown the are not i have checked. but all the wires that did go to the stock amplifier are cut and i basically want to just make a loop in the system. i have an aftermarket sony deck so i plan on using that to power my door speakers. what do i need to do to make this happen or am i better off to rerun all the speaker wires when i put my subs in? any help with be appreciated.

 

Running new wires for the front is pretty easy. Mine as well run new front wires now before you have to do it later when they start shorting in the door jambs.
You can get an aftermarket amp and wire everything to the line level input instead of rcas but if you got a head unit you mine as well use rcas.
If you can't fix where the wires were cut at, mine as well run new ones.
If you go the RCA route the kicker cx300.4 fits under the back seat nicely.

 

Yeah i rcas and i have 4 gauge wire with two kicker 1000 watt amps and 2 jl audio w7s. which are 13.5s. But that looks like what i am going do one of these nights. Id like to have it functional for the wheeling party but might look like 2 weeks till i get it working. by then i can get good door speakers.

 

Update kinda been a while but I ran all new speaker wire to the front door speakers and rear and tweeters the amp was Shot.
