my xj needs a new cat back system due to rust and i was wondering if anyone has seen the systems on ebay? one im considering is a dynomax super turbo system. for $160 that seems good to me but i was wondering if this is a good system to get or if im better off taking it to an exhaust specialist and getting a flowmaster or something similiar. another on ebay is the same price and is a heartthrob 2.5" catback. anyone have these systems that would recommend them. i am looking for a good quality sound too. another thing is i would put them on myself so easy installation is also factor because i am at school and my tool selection is limited. but if anyone has these ebay systems some feedback would be appreciated.

 

Just please don't make it loud. I don't care what anyone says but an automatic 4.0L does NOT sound good getting up to speed. I have 3 of them living down the road from me and I would compare the sound to that of a exhaustless Geo...

oh don't worry. i'm not going for loudness. in fact i would prefer it quieter. i want good tone and want it to last so i don't have to replace it again.

 

the dynomax cat back exhaust system is pretty quiet if thats what ya want...i had that on mine before and it was quiet at idle and normal drivin, then when ya got on it, you hear the deeper tone to it...as for tools, simple wrenchs and/ or wrachets are the only tools you would need, thats all i needed, but it depends if yours is rusted or not

iron rock offroad makes a nice exhaust and its cheap im getting the zj cat back with 3in piping
