Ok I bought this jeep not running just dies on the owner. When I got it its wouldn't crank over replace the battery, tested the alternator(good), replaced the bad starter. Now it cranked but no start. So when to the plugs no spark. So I replaced the coil still crank no start replaced the pick up coil on the distributor nothing. Went to the crank sensor and replaced that still crank no start. So I checked the ASD relay seems to be working. Check all the wiring no shorts. But the o2 sensor wires are 2 out of 4 matched up other to are different colors, not sure if that would mater if who did it connected it right the plug matches up right...I'm at a loss I have fuel the pump runs 3-5 sec to prime just no fire. Oh I am getting 2 Pcodes reference to pcm but if it's not communicating with pcm how am I getting codes? Any ideas I'm lost!

 

What Brand Crank Sensor did you put in, I have had Jeeps that were dying after running, swapped in a Generic Crank Sensor and would not start at all, swapped in a Mopar OEM Crank Sensor and ran GREAT !!!!

 

I did replace it with a mopar because of all that I've heard from the forums and friends. I couldn't order it from mopar online it's discontinued... Thanks

This very well could be related to your problem. With OBD the devil is definitely in the details.
