Default '99 Intake installation issues

I am in the process of swapping my old intake for the '99 intake and the cable that hooks up to the IAT sensor is too short what could be done to fix this?
also I have never changed my fuel injectors and I was wondering if there was anything I can put on the o-rings to get them into the intake easier? I dont want to mess anything up

Lube the injectors up with a little vaseline. As for the short wires you could either: see if you can pull them out of the wire loom a little, or lengthen them...???

Is there an advantage to the 99 intake?

remove sensor, relocate to a hole that's closer to the firewall, plug in.

If your not doing anything to your exhaust, this swap is futile. I did it and when i accidentally destroyed my aftermarket header, I noticed the difference when i went back to stock header.

This is what i did when i did my intake. The hole further back is the larger nipple for the vacuum line.

If you are working around the injectors why not just hit the junkyard and upgrade them? I got 8 injectors from a neon and stratus and swapped mine out. Cheap and easy.
