99 doors and seats in 91?
I was just wondering if Front doors and Seats from a 1999 XJ will bolt right up to my 1991 XJ? Both vehicles have power windows, will the plugs match up? Also, will the door panel match up with my dash?
Thanks, Harley

Neither is a direct "bolt in" The door itself will fit, but you'll need to splice the 99 electrical connections into your existing wiring for the locks and windows. The panel will fit and be pretty close to your current one on matching up to the dash, but you may need to drill new holes for a couple of the bolts.
The seats are whole different story. The issue is the mount brackets. The floor was changed in 95, so the mounts for your 91 and the 99 are entirely different. I can't remember who did it, but someone on here (more than one I'm sure) made the brackets to allow for the swap into they're pre-95. Do a search and you should find it pretty easily.

What about seats from the J Trucks? My seat is broken, and I have to go out of town tomorrow. I'm really just trying to find something I can pick up and throw in for now.
And thanks for the help on the doors. Wiring them up shouldn't be a problem. I'm glad they'll fit, I like the single window.
edit: guess they don't fit. lol.

i just swaped the doors and seats and front clip from a 97 to my 92.
I went with manual doors (dont like power)
They bolted right up but make sure you grab the strikers as they are different and need to be welded/ self tapper screwed to your door jams.
Seats were a PITA!!! I ended up using some square stock and making my own mounts.

Just did that yesterday....got the front seat in doing the passenger tomorrow. The seats from my 90 laredo, which I put in my 96 Sport, have a 8 1/2" track, are curved up, and the 96 seats have a 13 in wide track, and are flat. Needless to say I had fun with the welder, and some angle iron. I am starting to get the feeling that "Sport" is one tick above "base model".....Hey I can't complain...what do you expect for 500 bucks...
