99 cherokee windows work when switch is off???

I just purchased a jeep for my son and today found out the power windows work even when the switch is off???? please help us if u can!!! thanks

are you talking about the ignition switch is turned off? Or the window locl switch is pressed in?

if it is the 2nd, someone has bypassed the window lock out feature. Pretty common mod. The power window master switch is prone to having issues.

all power windows work when the ignition switch is off. thought maybe it was a switch issue but everything else goes off except the power windows

Looks like the PO maybe hot wired the windows. Personally I would leave it be. Isnt going to hurt anything unless he did it with poor connections and wiring.

just figured out that the wipers work when the ignition is off also, radio stays on, wipers work and all power windows work with the ignition switch off.............uuuggghhhhh!!!
