ok what i got is a 99 cherokee sport 4.0. It will sit and idle all day long the minute you put it in drive and give it gas it wants to stall out(kinda sputters), you can hear it back fireing and all sorts of good stuff if you cycle the key it will start right back up most times. CPS if new. So i got a p1694 one day cleaned all the grounds checked all my connections. well that code went away and now it has a p1698. i have a tcm on the way but now with it throwing a p1698 bad pcm?

 

Check fuses?

 

yep and relays... 42psi fuel pressure at idle its a few psi low but i dont think its the issue. you can rev it up all day when in park it runs like a champ
