Default 99 Cherokee Sport is possessed...

So, yesterday I went out to my Jeep to give it a little spiffing up. I noticed a noise that sounded like a blinker was still on. Since I haven't driven it in awhile and my daughter has, I immediately blamed it on her. Somehow I pictured her turning into the driveway, the blinker not cancelling, and her not noticing...or caring...(it wouldn't be the first time something like that has happened).
Anyhow, upon closer inspection I realized that no turn signals were engaged, and that made no sense at all...duh! I moved the turn signal and the hazard switch and voila, the noise stopped! I walked away for a moment and when I returned, and guess what? It started all over again! This little game went on all afternoon. So, what the heck is going on? I did replace the blinker switch about 6 months ago. Is this somehow related? Is my Jeep just having a little fun with me?

Combination Flasher may have gone nuts. Could be the clicking you hear.

When you hear the clicking, pull fuse F20 (15 amp) in the PDC and see if it quits. F20 is powered directly off the battery.

I like Ken's idea. But if that doesn't work, you could schedule an exorcism I suppose!

Keep us posted.

Check the fuse contacts in the fuse panel. Just spent two days tearing my hair out and all it was was a punky contact.
