98 XJ's driver seat broken

I have to assume this is an extremely common problem.
There is a piece of steel tube that was tack welded to keep the sides spread apart. I tried running some sheet metal screws since I didn't have time to weld it.
Is there a better seat that folks are using?
Needs to be fairly inexpensive.
If not, I'll have to tear into it & weld it.

Mine was busted in several places when I bought the XJ. I pulled the material out of the way and welded everything back together. We'll see how long it lasts, but it's good for now.
