New to the forum so thanks for you help in advance. Well here goes.

Few weeks ago my engine light came on and code was p1899. Did a few things but ended up replacing the switch h and did not fix the problem. Still has code and starts in any gear.
At about the same time as the light came on it noticed that the outside running lights and headlights we on all the time, even without the light switch turned on. As long as the key is turned on the lights are on.
I have replaced the light switch, ignition key cylinder and the ignition switch and nothing has changed.
I am at a loss because all the wiring looks good. Any ideas? I have had the jeep for about 4 weeks and don't know much about them. Thanks for any help in advance.

 

Found the problem. Wires at the back lift gate got pinched and were all touching and causing all the issues. Never thought to look there.
