The original injectors that the XJ came out of the factory are crappy, one hole injectors. This is one of the first things that any Jeep owner should upgrade. Check out precisionautoinjectors.com, I hear they have some pretty good stuff. I got my upgraded Neon injectors from a member here that sold them in the For Sale section. Keep an eye out there, many people sell them (biggest guy is Programbo). And they will be cheaper than precisionautoinjectors.com Oh and these injectors have 4 holes which atomizes the fuel, meaning better throttle response and some have even seen an MPG increase

You have a 98 4.0? http://precisionautoinjectors.com/pr...1&categoryId=3 They are pricey, but it'd be a huge upgrade from the stock injectors
As far as Mustang injectors, I really don't know. I would suggest Dodge Neon injectors, as they are much easier to come by than the Ford injectors. In your case, you would want Neon 703s

Use the 5 L mustang ones or the dodge neon ones! You can get them for cheap at the scrap yard. I'm putting Kj injectors on mine. If you were to use the Kj injectors you'd have to get some sort of adapter not sure if you could just take the rail off a 99 and put it on or not but the Kj injectors are the best way to go for the 99+ they are plug and play they are so similar you don't even have to reset the computer!

Yeah that price is for all 6. Where it says "2 or more" and "3 or more", it means 2 or more sets. $169 would be an insane price for a single injector haha, probably even more than the dealer would charge!

just changed my injectors yesterday. I ordered from 5.0 motor sports. $240. be carfull ordering for a 98. there are diffrent conectors. think they did a midyear change. I ran junkyard injectors for a while. my new thought is why put in old used injecors. after changing to new I can now accelrate in 5th gear again.

Yeah, I ordered them through fiveomotorsport. I have a '99 Cherokee. They are Ford injectors. XF2E-C4B. They are advertised as "new" or "like new condition". The thing that sold me on them is that they have a 3 year unlimited mileage warranty. I know for the 99's you have to be careful because some have a square type plug and some have a rectangular type plug. I also asked about the need to flash the computer after the installation. I was assured they were a "plug and go" installation. The customer service was excellent.
