98 xj front drive shaft??
i have a 98 jeep cherokee and i recently replaced all 3 u joints on my front driveshaft. i noticee that the double cardan side of the shaft is now stiff and move easily.
ive heard that the u joints just need to be broke in. so i intalled it anyway and now i notice a a small vibration at various speeds and everynow and then at a change in gears at about 40 mph a small chirp just during the change of gear.
i have read before of people just flipping the shaft over and no more vibrations?? please help. thanks

If you removed the slip spline part you have to make sure it goes back the same way since the shafts are balanced. Grease it real well and see if there is any play in the slip spline as well. This is the problem I am having with mine now. Well, that and I had a bad pinion angle. I drove it like that for a little while and now I have play in the pinion bearing as well. Make sure your set up is correct.
