My jeep is not wanting to crank. My ignition switch has been kinda weird lately and not been wanting to crank sometimes. I'm fixing to replace but I have a keyless start and now that isn't getting the job done... When I start the jeep with keyless all acc. turn on like usual but when it gets to the point to crank it does nothing. I figured this has to be related to something other than my switch because the keyless bypasses all of this. Suggestions?

 

Try wiggling the shifter or try starting it in neutral. If it starts then your nss needs to be cleaned, adjusted or replaced. If not I would work on your ignition switch as you mentioned. Hope this helps you some. Let use know if it helps on not. If not we can go from there.

 

So it's the NSS... Will start in neutral and pushing the shifter up will get her to crank. Does this mean I need to replace or just work on it a bit?

I'm gonna go to work on the NSS. Clean it and reinstall. Hopefully does the trick
