Default 98 Jeep Cherokee stalls in reverse (long with info)

Hi, I am brand new here. I have a 98 Jeep Cherokee with the 4.0l and automatic transmission with 129,000 miles. We bought it back in July last year. It was throwing codes for crankshaft positon sensor circuit, o2 sensor circuits and Ignition coil Circuit. I have sense replaced all plugs, wires, dist cap, rotor, dist. pickup, crankshaft position sensor, and both o2 sensors as well as i.a.c motor. I am trying to figure out two things.

1. It bucks and stutters under moderate acceleration ONLY in reverse.

2. It occasionally will die going around corners or if you accelerate the motor and let off accelerator.

Now, I have noticed that after either one of these things occur, especially number 1, it will have a stored code of crankshaft position sensor circuit, and/or ignition coil 1 circuit. It might or might not illuminate the MIL light either. I am pretty handy, but this diagnostic stuff is driving me nuts. Most shops I have talked to are at a loss, and want me to bring it in, dont want to have to do this, but I and my wife are at our wits end. I would appreciate any help in this matter. I have checked all wiring and it all looks good. I cleaned and used dialectric grease on the harnesses that are connected to these items and checked my ecm connections. So please any help or suggestions please let me know.

Update, today had the Jeep on jackstands and decided to see what happens in reverse with the wheels off the ground. Didnt stumble or hesitate in the slightest with the wheels off the ground. This is now got me totally puzzled. I did order a new ECM the other day, so I think that is going to be my next trick to see what happens with that. It was pretty cheap for $165, figured it couldnt hurt. ANy other ideas? I have searched and seen where sometimes the ECM goes bad and causes the fault codes I am seeing and I hope it will fix my other issue as well. Other than this little irritating problem, I love my little Jeep, so I guess we shall see what happens next. Any help or ideas are appreciated. Thanks all.

where did you get the crankshaft position sensor from? many times people have problems with aftermarket sensors like the CPS and TPS (throttle position sensor). these critical sensors should be replaced with OEM Jeep parts. Good Luck!
