Default 98 jeep Cherokee classic, af leakage

I got a 98 jeep Cherokee classic 6cyl, and temp don't rise. Parked last night and today started it and belt fell off and it leaking af from bottom as I can see. Opened radiator cap and that seemed to make it leak more, I was told my water pump. But it starts ok no problems, but belt comes right off. Any ideas as to if it could be radiator cap or something else. Thanks

The seals and bearings in your water pump are probably starting to disintegrate. It will begin leaking out of the weep hole when this starts to happen (the weep acts as an indicator that AF has made it passed the seal). The play this is allowing on the water pump pulley likely allowed the belt to jump off of it. With the belt off, check it for play. There should be none.
