98 with codes p0711 p0713
I had my jeep parked for about 6 months and had to get it smogged. The battery was dead and the system reset. Check engine came on with several codes that were not there when I parked it. P0455 I think I fixed, but the 2 transmission codes are giving me trouble. I also noticed my overhead display doesn't come on all the time, I pulled it down and all seems to be tight. No problems prior to parking. I only have 98000 miles on it, no rust in socal. I've read about electrical issues and not sure if that is the case. Just want to pass smog and probably sell it since it isn't driven much.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

P0711 and P0713 seem to be transmission temperature sensor issues related to the A340 transmission, which the XJ doesn't have, but the Japanese vehicles do.
Found one reference to a fuel pressure issue related to the Grand Cherokee (P0711).
Don't know what to tell you other than the code reader/scanner being used to pull up those codes may have to be programed to show Chrysler/Jeep codes.

thanks for the response, I'm trying to see if it may be the electrical issue i hear about on these. my over head display shuts off and comes on eventually. i reset the odometer on both the dash and overhead and see a 15 mile descrepency odo is at 30, and the overhead is at 15.
any help again would be appreciated.
