I have a 97 Cherokee. It drives great but after it warms up and you come to a stop, it won't take off unless you manually pull it down in to 1st.

Important History:
Recently the trans went bad so I bought a 98 trans that had been professionally rebuilt according to the seller but the trans did look like it was almost new so I am pretty sure that was the case. Anyway, a local garage went to install it for me and found that it would not work (they even called a couple tranny shops who confirmed this). I found an forum here that explained how to do it and gave the printout to the shop. They took off the harness from the 98 and put it on the 97 then changed the cone part.
