Hi all,

I have a problem with starting my car. This doesn't happen always.

The problem is when I turn key, engine won't start. Looks like battery is plenty. If I jump start with the battery, car doesn't start still. If I jump start with the starter, the car starts. I leave key turn on position and I connect + to the starter center bolt and - to the negative bolt and I see some sparks and engine starts.
I replaced starter a few month ago. So I don't think it's starter problem.
I'm confused about what the problem is. It's a manual tranny by the way.
Any suggestion guys?

 

I'd assume there is a safety switch on the clutch pedal or transmission to keep you from starting it in gear? That's where I'd look first.
