So a couple weeks ago I noticed at a light on my to work smoke or maybe stem comming out the cracks of my hood (in between hood and fender) my jeep always smells like coolent and oil and that's what this mysterious smoke smells like. And by the time I pull off to pop the hood it's not smoking anymore....it happens at normal temp and the only thing wrong with the jeep is it threw a O2 senser code like 3-4 weeks ago and my heater core has a leek I believe
Any ideas?

 

A little more info would be helpful and if you can fill out your CP info we would at least know the year.


Start by going to a parts store and renting a leak down tester, it goes on in place of the radiator cap and you pump up the pressure to find any leaks and where they are.

You're going to have to spend more time narrowing down which it is--coolant or oil leaking under the hood.

Then your course of action to fix it will become more clear.
